Trks. 2 and 3 written by Rick Anderson (he wrote the bass lines for The Need, but the other guys thought they were too jazzy) trks. 1-6, 8, 10 were recorded in the summer of 1990.
Trk.8 is a rendition of James Browns' Superbad. We learned it because Lee Williams insisted he was going to sing it. (he never did) Trk.11 is an instrumental version of The Zombies classic: She's Not There. We later did a parody of it with my brother Dan "She's Not All There" (see Thingamobob Live at Contos 1990). We practiced for one summer, Rick got married and moved to Mt. Pleasant, and we never gigged with this lineup. Trks. 7 and 9 were recorded in the fall of 88 and preceded all other Thingamobob recordings.Trks.12,13 are 3 piece instrumental with my brother Dan on Bass. I think he tried out on bass as a way to make his way to the frontman spot (weasel - glad he did).
